Here’s to a Lifetime of Happiness & Good Fortune

We are very excited to share Starr & Justin’s absolutely perfect vintage themed wedding! With touches of romance, blush tones and gorgeous floral arrangements, we loved every detail of this wedding.  Add in 1001 handmade cranes and Hawaiian themed guests favors and we have a unique wedding that you cannot help but adore! Starr & Justin did an amazing job of blending Starr’s romantic style with Justin’s Hawaiian culture. They couldn’t have picked a better photographer, Chris McLaughlin Photography, to capture their perfect day with an artistic edge.

Given Justin’s home state is Hawaii, it is so appropriate that these two met on the island. Their love story proves you never know when & how you’re going to meet “the one”:

Justin and I met during a girls trip to Hawaii. Funny story actually – Justin was dating a good friend of mine at the time (hence the girls trip to Hawaii) and things didn’t work out for them. Once the girls and I returned from vacation and Justin returned back to school (we went to the same college) we started dating. 🙂 As you might have guessed, his ex is now my ex-friend. 😦 Oh well

The tradition states that anyone who folds 1000 would have a lifetime of happiness and good fortune. In Hawaii they have added an additional crane (1001) for good luck. Traditionally, the bride folds the cranes to teach her patience and prepare her for married life. However, changes have been made over time and now family and friends can also help! Once the cranes are completed, you are to hang them from string in odd numbers and put them on display. Then, after the ceremony, keep each and everyone and display them! We still have them in bags and are trying to figure out what to do with them now! :)”10 11 12 13 14 15
