Cozy + Candlelit Colorado Destination Wedding

When Sable and Jared started planning their destination wedding, Colorado was an easy choice.

Growing up in Nebraska, Sable and her family often spent weekends in the colorful state. Jared fell in love with the Rockies while visiting friends in college. For these North Dakota residents, the mountains were calling.

The couple hoped to keep the wedding day simple, focusing less on the details and more on the experience.

“For us, we wanted to celebrate and thank the people in our life,” Sable says. “We wanted everyone to come [together] and have fun.”

Sable wanted the overall design of the event to evoke warm and cozy feelings. She loved the look of candles and fresh greenery, so floral designer A Florae lined the ceremony aisle with loads of both. The floral team continued the greenery on the fireplace mantle – an adaptable look for a space holding both the ceremony and later, reception.

“It was also important to me that dinner felt more like a family meal with all of us sitting together,” Sable says. “Both Jared and I loved the look of farm tables, and felt like it gave us that warm feeling of family coming together.”

After dinner and a little dancing, guests enjoyed a late night snack. Sable and Jared chose French fries – a nod to the day they met. At a crowded bar during a St. Patty’s Day pub-crawl, Sable’s group happened to share a table with Jared and his. When someone scarfed down all of Sable’s French fries, Jared kindly shared his with her.

“We actually ended up running into each other two other times that day, which started to feel a little like the universe talking,” she says.

You heard it, folks. The universe speaks in subtle clues – sometimes even French fries ; )

Sable and Jared reflect back on the wedding day with smiles. “We had the best day,” she says. “I am so happy with each and every single vendor we had . . . I can’t thank all of them enough.”

A BIG thank you indeed to all of our fabulous friendors:
