“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” – L.M. Montgomery
We couldn’t agree more. October is one of our favorite months in Colorado. Ken Caryl Valley, the little slice of heaven we call home, is blanketed in autumn hues. Sitting atop the highest point in the valley, the panoramic views from The Manor House are hard to beat.
This is precisely what spoke to Chicago residents Katie and Zach when they selected their wedding venue.
“The Manor House allowed us to combine timeless elegance with the vibrant colors and natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains,” Katie tells us.
Katie and Zach worked with local wedding planner Sara Brown to arrange the many details for their destination wedding. They added a few personal details including a custom-built arbor for their ceremony.
“Zach and his best man, Jake, built our ceremony arch and traveled with it from Chicago. We were able to share a special moment of prayer underneath it with our parents and grandparents,” Katie says.
The couple incorporated their shared passion for music with a string quartet for the ceremony and live band for their reception.
We could go on for days about the details of this classic fall wedding, but these gorgeous images captured by Callie Hobbs say it all. A BIG congratulations to Katie and Zach who recently celebrated their one year anniversary!
