In Colorado, we are lucky to enjoy more than 300 days of sunshine each year. But what happens when your wedding falls on one of the other 65 days and you’re planning an outdoor ceremony?
Jamie and Evan tied the knot on a rainy Sunday afternoon in late July. Rather than let a few raindrops get them down, the couple gracefully embraced the drizzle.
“Our wedding day was beyond perfect; it was unforgettable,” Jamie tells us. “The Manor House was the blissful frame to our special day and allowed us to have such a stress-free day. We were able to really focus on each other and our guests.”
We all know that rain on your wedding day is good luck. But did you know that cloudy skies happen to make for the best shooting conditions? No sun = no shadows. Just ask your photographer. Or better yet – check out the soft, romantic images below . . .
Thankfully, Mother Nature paused the showers just before Jamie and Evan’s first look. She graciously held them off during the ceremony and even allowed some extra time for photos afterwards ; )
During the ceremony, the couple filled a time capsule with special items and invited family members to contribute as well. They plan to open the capsule on each anniversary and add a new item each year. LOVE!
Later in the evening, Jamie and her dad performed a choreographed dance routine to Chuck Berry’s “You Never Can Tell” (see: Uma + John in Pulp Fiction). After, guests joined on the dancefloor and partied ’til the end of the evening.
“We could barely get everyone to leave because they all were having such an amazing time,” Jamie says. “Thank you to The Manor House and staff for being such amazing hosts!!”
Congrats to Jamie and Evan! And thank you to the incredible vendor team that made it all possible:
