Romantic Fall Wedding in Burgundy, Blush & Gold

Fall, sweet fall. There are so many reasons to fall in love with the autumn season in Colorado. The foothills of Ken Caryl Valley are covered in autumn colors making for a dramatic backdrop to an outdoor ceremony. The cooler weather is a welcome invitation for guests to enjoy the outdoor spaces around the mansion, especially the fire tables.

Lana and Greg were married at The Manor House on a stunning fall afternoon exactly one year ago today.

“The entire day was an absolute dream,” says Lana. “The weather was perfect so we were able to use all the outdoor areas. I loved watching out of town guests take in the views which are outstanding.”

Lana’s favorite memory from the day has us almost in tears (the happiest kind):

“The funniest part of the day was after we signed our ketubah and it was time to get ready to walk down the aisle,” she recalls. “I was so anxious. I said, ‘I wish I had some vodka right now!’ Greg pulled a flask out of his jacket and handed it to me. I knew he was the one : ).”

One of our favorite parts about this wedding is the stunning floral design by Plum Sage. Burgundy, blush, gold and plum come together in a rich palette perfect for fall. Every detail — from the chuppah to the mantle to the cake (that cake!) — is absolute perfection.

We caught up with Lana and Greg a few weeks ago. It’s been a great first year for the newlyweds. After their honeymoon in Rome and Greece, they came home to settle into their new house. They are currently both working from home and loving the extra time together.

Congrats to the lovebirds on their first anniversary!

“Our wedding was truly the best day of my life. I know people say that, but it is so true! You will never have everyone you love in the same room celebrating you like that again and it is so special. Also, the Manor House was the best decision we made. The day, our images, our video, everything was beyond beautiful. Still, a year later, people tell us it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to!”
