Modern Monochrome in November

Colorado couple Kricket and Andrew share a love of car racing. They met in college and the sport quickly became a big part of their relationship. They were beyond excited to finally attend their first weekend of Formula 1 racing together in Austin, Texas. On a break between practice races, Andrew handed his camera to a fellow fan and asked him take a few photos. Then he asked Kricket to marry him.

A few days after they arrived home, they adopted their first retired racing greyhound. They named her Pirelli (as in the Italian tire company). Six months later, they adopted her brother and called him Enzo (after Enzo Ferrari).

Kricket and Andrew exchanged vows on a snow-covered afternoon in November. They chose a black and white palette with modern touches.

To personalize the day, Kricket and Andrew highlighted their love of racing. Instead of tossing petals at the end of the ceremony, guests waved checkered flags. Andrew’s racing helmet served as the card box and the photo booth props were racing themed. And in the kids’ goodie bags  – you guessed it – a mini race car!

This wedding is the perfect combination of stylish AND fun! Kricket and Andrew, thank you for letting us share your memorable day!

“A huge part of this wedding was centered around the flowers, so when I was handed my bouquet for the first time it was great to finally see the vision I had in my head come to life.”

The stunning design by Kimball Floral featured unique white blooms including the heart-shaped Anthurium and a variety of orchids like the trailing Phalaenopsis.

“My family has a lot of little kids, so we made sure to make little goodie bags. One of my favorite details was the coloring book that my dad hand drew for the kids’ bags.”
